The Role
The Objective of the Commercial Analyst is to improve the market position of the company and to achieve financial growth. You will help define short and long-term financial goals, and build key customer relationships within the business to identify business opportunities. and maintains extensive knowledge of current market conditions. Providing reliable, accurate, timely companywide financial services. The position may also assist with compliance obligations related to taxation, superannuation, PAYG, or other statutory reporting.
In addition, you will:
•Prepare budgets, forecasts, and 5-year financial plan
•Develop business KPIs to facilitate analysis and reporting of performance against plans and budgets as well as strategic objectives
•Assess existing markets, ancillary markets, and macro-economic trends
•Complete Market Share Analysis
•Investment/Capex evaluation and preparation of business cases
•Assist in the preparation of financial reports and provide insightful commentary for financial reporting
•Assist with the preparation of EOY statutory accounts and preparation of Group Consolidated results
•Conduct data analysis of financial performance, as well as the overall industry in order to make key conclusions for comprehensive recommendations
•Maintain an up-to-date view of market research related to the industry
•Manage analysis that will provide valuable benchmarking for management as well as timely insights into various departments
•Identify key industry trends for the purpose of providing recommendations to management across the business in regard to financial statements, reports, and performance
The Requirements
•You are Tertiary Qualified in Accounting or Finance or related
•You present with a demonstrated ability of technical expertise in financial accounting, financial compliance, and financial management processes
•Previous experience in providing Financial Analysis in a corporate environment
•Demonstrated business partnering skills which contribute to the meeting of Finance team objectives and deliverables
•Experience using ERP financial modules
•You have previously worked in a top-tier management consulting firm in an auditing or financial analysis role
•Excellent knowledge of Excel, Financial Software, and Business Intelligence Software
•Strong commercial and business acumen
